Lisa has lived in San Diego for many years, teaching voice out of her Escondido studio. Locally, she is most proud of her work with Lyric Opera of San Diego where she has taken part in many performances including: Princess Ida, Oliver, The Gondoliers, Abduction from the Seraglio, HMS Pinafore and the Best of Pirates and Pinafore on board The Star of India. In October 2006, she played Praskovia in The Merry Widow. She holds Bachelors of Music from CSU Northridge as well as a Master of Music in vocal performance from the University of Michigan. Other roles have included “Hansel” in Hansel and Gretel, “Monica” in The Medium, “Lucy Lockett” in The Beggar’s Opera, “Sacharissa” in Princess Ida, “Dorabella” in Cosi Fan Tutte, the “Countess Almaviva” in Le Nozze di Figaro and “Rosina” in Signor Deluso. She has also performed in premieres of two original works at U of M: Jackie-O by Michael Daugherty as Elizabeth Taylor, and Manly Romero’s Alice in Wonderland as both the Dormouse and Alice. |

Lisa has performed with Lyric Opera San Diego for several seasons. She played "Celia" in Iolanthe in 2007, was featured as “Sylviane” in The Merry Widow in 2006, and played “Ilka” in Countess Maritza in 2005. She also performed in Pirates of Penzance, Princess Ida, and the Mikado. Lisa is also dedicated to church music, serving as soprano soloist for the Village Community Presbyterian Church Choir in Rancho Santa Fe. She was recently the soprano soloist and assistant director for the Solana Presbyterian Church Chancel Choir, touring several cities in Eastern Europe in 2003. Lisa has taught voice, choir, band, orchestra, and handbells for several school and church organizations. Lisa holds a Bachelors degree in music/choral conducting from Scripps College, and a Master of Music degree in vocal performance from San Diego State University. |
